BYOD, are you doing it right?

And even though it is still in its infancy stages, and limited at the moment to smartphones and tablets, eventually BYOD initiatives will expand to include employees’ notebook computers and other devices, according to the study.

The Gartner research also reports that even those businesses that do not plan to adopt a BYOD policy should have a clear position on allowance of personal devices in the workplace.  Because while BYOD adoption continues to grow, IT departments are struggling to adequately manage security and protect sensitive corporate data.

Technology leaders are facing a new challenge with the consumerization of IT, as everyone from desktop workers to executives bring personal mobile devices into the workplace, expecting fast connections to the corporate network.  And having the right Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution can greatly reduce the risks to security, business continuity, and performance introduced by the BYOD trend.

Find out how VDI and Virtual Bridges can help address these challenges and threats.
